Have stopped in here a few times for a quick breakfast pastry. Food has always been good and the prices are cheap.
Good place for a light breakfast. -

Quick and easy food if you work in the area. Beats standing outside for a food cart in bad weather. Food has been hit or miss, as well as the portions. Today ordered a small pasta ($4) and got a baby scoop... see photo. Pretty disappointed.

This place is for the regulars that come here every day. The food does showcase the chefs talent, but it is generally super loaded with fat and sugar (probably why the every day regulars are addicted to it?) As many others have said, the male owner is prone to fits of rage towards customers as well as employees but seems to make an immense effort to cover this fact. Was also super creepy with me and the other women inside and would not get out of our personal space despite our obvious discomfort.

Great atmosphere and good food. It looks and taste very home made. Really enjoyed my black bean soup and chile relleno. I'll be back. Loved the relaxing environment!

I've been to Café Voila several times now throughout my years working in the area and most of the time I've been satisfied. I went in previously to order the special of the day which was a salad, and they happened to be sold out at the time so I decided to grab a different salad. In the past when they've asked if I wanted my salad tossed prior to me taking it back to work, they've physically done it there so everything stays fresh. This time, they grabbed me one of the salads in the back that had been tossed from what looked at hours before I purchased it. The lettuce was welting, brown and soggy. The dressing was in a pool at the bottom of the plastic container. This trip was a bummer, I will not be grabbing anything but the un-tossed salads from there going forward.
